আমার ভাঙা নায়ের বইঠা ঠেলে
আমি খুঁজে বেড়াই তারেই রে ভাই
যে গিয়াছে আমায় ফেলে॥
আমার, তোদের মতোই ঘর ছিল ভাই
এমনি গাঙের কূলে,
সেই ঘরেতে রূপের জোয়ার
উঠত দুলে দুলে।
সেই সোনার পরি উড়ে গেছে
সোনার পাখা মেলে॥
পায়ে চলে খুঁজি তারে,
গাঁয়ে গাঁয়ে খুঁজি,
নাইতে চলে বউ-ঝি,
আমি ভাবি সে-ই বুঝি।
চাঁদের দেশের মেয়ে সে ভাই
গেছে বাপের বাড়ি,
মাটিতে মোর পা বাঁধা ভাই,
উড়ে যেতে নারি।
হারালে সব যায় পাওয়া ভাই,
শুধুমানুষ নাহি মেলে॥
