কেবলই চেয়ে থাকি, আয়নার আড়মোড়ায়;
ছায়ার কোলাহলে, আলো কি দিক হারায়?
চোখের তীর পড়ে চোখেরই আড়ালে,
নিজেকে চিনতে পারি সূর্য হারালে ।।
ছায়া সব ছুটি নেয়, ফেলে কায়ার বসত
কবে যেন কার কাছে, মোমেরা ফেলে আসে;
রাতের ধৈর্য্য শেষে, আবার পোড়ার রসদ।।
ব্যবধান ঘুচে আসে আলোতে-ছায়াতে,
আর, দিন সব জমা হয় রাতের পরতে ।
নিশাচর আমার দুয়ারে-উঠানে,
গোধূলী খেলা করে রাঙা প্রভাতে ।
