কে মথিল তব তরে কোন্ সে ব্যথার সিন্ধু-জল॥
দুয়ার-ভাঙা জাগল জোয়ার বেদনার ওই দরিয়ায়।
আজ ভারতী অশ্রুমতী মধ্যে দুলে টলমল॥
কখন তোমার বাজল বেণু প্রাণের বংশীবটছায়।
মরা গাঙে ভাঙা ঘাটে ঘট ভরে গোপিনী দল॥
বিদ্যুতের বাঁকা হাসি হাসিয়া কালো মেঘে,
আসিলে কে অভিমানী বহায়ে মরুতে ঢল॥
লয়ে হাতে জিয়ন-কাঠি আসিলে কে রূপ-কুমার
উঠল জেগে রূপ-কুমারী আঁধারে ওই ঝলমল॥
আকাশে চকোরী কাঁদে, তড়াগে চাহে কুমুদ,
ঝরুক আঁখির শেফালিকা ছুঁয়ে তব পদতল॥
